Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
UPDATE: By trying various combinations of DTS, DTR and RTS, I was able to connect. One combination that works is all unchecked. I'm using the TS-2000 but some other Kenwood models can also connect. I

Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
I don't use WSJT-X but downloaded the latest version anyway (2.5.4). I set the radio to TS-2000 baud rate to 9600 and selected the COM port recognized when the USB cable from the radio to PC was

Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
Settings are as specified in TX-500 manual and I provided them to HRD Support. I also tried Auto Detect for port and speed... no good. -- 73, Norm/KC1BMD
Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
Can you post a screenshot of your settings ?

Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
FYI: contacted HRD support (Ferry). He had me try a few settings changes but nothing worked. He asked if WSJT-X can connect, so he could rule out whether HRD was the problem or not. I don't use that

Re: Missing Dits
Changing to Iambic "B" appears to have fixed it. I'll be sure after a few QSO's. Busy trying to get rid of some pesty leaves right now (hi). I'm hopeful Roman and the crew will sort it out. -- 73,

Re: Missing Dits
If it¡¯s dropping dits while using a single paddle that makes me wonder if iambic A is working as it should. If it was defaulting to iambic A before the firmware upgrade then something definitely

Re: Morse paddle.
Thanks for the link and I found them on the US Amazon too with the same description. I already ordered the Bamakey TPIII round metal clipboard disk anyway but perhaps I did not need too (hi). BaMaTech

Re: Missing Dits
Hi Larry, for some reason, I missed your post. Thanks for the info. It's difficult to say, since I don't use Iambic (squeeze keying) mode. I operate with a single lever paddle, or sometimes a dual

Re: Missing Dits
I reported the problem to Lab599 (Roman) and one thing he asked is whether I tried changing from Iambic "A" to "B". I had not but told him I would try it and let him know. Based on your post, I'm
Re: Missing Dits
I ran into that too. I went into the menu and changed the keyer from iambic "A" to iambic "B" and it seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure if the older firmware set "B" as the standard and the new

Re: Missing Dits
Norm I have a brand new TX-500 and I also loaded the latest firmware. I am not having any issues with missing dits. Maybe you have the keyer set to Mode A and you are use to Mode B. ¡®This could

Missing Dits
Note: I had recently posted a question about the possibility of rolling firmware back to a previous version. I deleted that post, since I decided to try it and found it can be done. By the way, the
Re: Connecting with Ham Radio Deluxe
I'm guessing not many people are using HRD, at least with the TX-500. Can anyone recommend a logging program (rig control would also be nice but not necessary) so I could log contacts, capture

Another vote for the TPIII, it¡¯s a thing of beauty and Markus ships them out pretty fast.
