I've received very poor service from hro in the?past. So no special order drop shipped items from them for me. I'm happy to wait for the battery pack. Does seem a bit inflated.?

Seeing that HRO has listed it for pre-order, I have done this thing. News soon after it has been received.? Really excited about the solar panel input as I already have a 30w folding panel and six 18650 batteries looking for a purpose.

Please add your voices to the request I've been making now since joining this club of TX-500 owners.? I think it would be wonderful if the TX-500 would report back when asked that it is in DIG mode.? In the subset of the Kenwood protocol, the mode command and response is used for this purpose.? Mode 6 in Kenwood is for FSK..? TX-500 accepts MD6; as the command to go to DIG mode but reports back when queried as if it's in USB mode.? if it simply replied to polling with MD6; instead of MD2; then CAT control programs could correctly show that the radio is in DIG mode.

The digimode hint is key. I know this, I have operated this several times, and still about half the time it doesn't work and I can't figure out why till I remember I haven't turned on the digimode.

Other than that, it seems to work very well for me.

I have it working reliably with my TX-500.? I have a DigiRig Mobile 1.6, Microsoft Surface Go 2, Windows 10 Pro, and VARA HF v.4.7.2.? As far as configuring the radio and the sound card, I basically followed the directions that are now available on the Lab599 website:?

It's important to note that when you change stations/frequencies in Winlink, you need to make sure the radio is in DIGI mode (manually select it).? The CAT control the way it's implemented on the TX-500 can't do that for you at the moment (I'm still hoping that may change in the future).

Let me know what other info I can share to help.

Thanks to all for the help. Windows 11 seems to have buried some settings further back than windows 10 did. I have not hooked it back up to try again, but it probably is a an audio enhancement feature. The laptop is a cheaper Acer I7 and it did come with some annoying manufacture apps.

Everything seems to be working properly.? Got one email and everything stopped working.? Using the tx-500 and digirig plug into a Microsoft go 3.? Can't connect to rms server = Can't send email.? Anyone using this equipment?? Can share??

Lots of single sideband (LSB) from 27.365 to 27.425. (Note that anything above 27.405 is outside the official CB bands in the US.)

Make sure All "enhancements " are turned off for the pnp device in the sound control dialog

I had 2 problems w win 11. With a Dell XPS laptop ( low red input audio meter on the left of WSJT, and fading output during transmit) both of which were resolved?

For high input sound, usually AGC is set on the sound device and needs to be turned off, I. Win 10 is appears as an explicit selection in the device dialog. In win 11 i did not see it, but might be controlled by the audio enhancements option

Also - there's another option to let the application fully control the sound device - try toggling that
