Bob, Can you name a radio that has never failed someone at some time?? As for me and my friends that own a TX500, we haven't had any issues with our TX500's. There has never been a perfect radio. I have several radios that I've owned for years with no issues, but I don't have to look far to find someone that hasn't had an issue with a Kenwood, Icom or Yaesu that has been flawless for me. Don't get me wrong, I have had several radios that had to be serviced, but someone else may have had great luck with the same model. How long have you owned your TX500?
