Dear subscribers,
I have received a large number of requests to check on family names
in the list which has kindly been lent to me by Edward, an old
Polish gentleman who still lives in Tanganyika not far from the old
Tengeru camp.
I have faithfully replied to everybody - as well I should - having
made the offer myself.
However, I have slightly underestimated the number of interested
persons who have come forward.
I have meanwhile made frantic efforts in the South African town
where I live to see whether I could have the list scanned or
photocopied. It proved impossible; the size of the list is akward.
Scanning it bit by bit is no option because the paper is fragile.
I am going to Holland next week and I hope that I can have the list
scanned there onto a CD.
Please bear with me for a few weeks.
