Joasia Kubicka
Hi Joasia
If you try the MOD (see details at
) you should get a proper reception these days - they will tell you if the
records exist, and get you to fill out a next-of-kin report.
Apparently
Eve is having trouble with her computer, but the Memorial Wall e-mail should
be restored shortly.
Best of luck

[...] When I asked the
British, I was told that my papers had sunk to the bottom of the English
Channel !!! No further details were forthcoming as to why my papers were all
lost. At least I do have a copy of my birth certificate. I did try to
contact the British record department some years ago and they were very rude
and said that no information could be released, I will try again.I have not
tried the Polish Catholic Mission.
Thank you for your help Stefan. By the
way did you get my email fore the Memorial wall ?
Regards
Joasia
