Hi Stefan
My parents were married on 22 06 1935 in
Mo?odecznie (near Wilno). It was amazing after all their experiences to meet up
again in Anders' Army having both been deported to Siberia. I think as I was
born 9 month's after the end of the war, I must have been a celebration!! When I
got married in 1967 I needed my original birth certificate. When I asked the
British, I was told that my papers had sunk to the bottom of the English Channel
!!! No further details were forthcoming as to why my papers were all lost. At
least I do have a copy of my birth certificate. I did try to contact the British
record department some years ago and they were very rude and said that no
information could be released, I will try again.I have not tried the Polish
Catholic Mission.
Thank you for your help Stefan. By the way did you
get my email fore the Memorial wall ?
Regards Joasia

I have passed this message on to the group for
their consideration!
By the way, as your parents married in Italy and
you were born there, your file would be at the Polish Catholic Mission:

Hi Stefan
My father's name was Boles?aw Kubicki and
my mother was Aniela Kubicka (B?az?ejewska) They were both sent to ZSSR from
Wilno. I have found from one of your links that my father was sent to
GRAZOWIEC (ID 21275). This was found in the 'Indeks Represjonowanych'. I am
so grateful that your links have led me to this information. Regarding my
mother, she was sent to TIOMNAJA in Kazachstan ( I still have a letter which
she sent from there). I can't find this place on the map...does anyone know
about this camp? Both of my parents then joined Gen Anders army in Persia
and ended up in Italy where I was born in 1946. We then came to England and
were placed in two camps in the North of England 'Lowther Park' in the Lake
District and 'Cark in Cartmel' also in the North of England ( I still
remember the camps). We finally settled in Lancaster, Lancashire UK where my
parents died in 1979. I left ?Lancaster in 1964 to go to university,
got married and had three children. I live in Southsea, Portsmouth, on the
Southcoast of England. I am trying to write down the family history for my
children and would be grateful if anyone in the group could help or in fact
knew my parents.
