Give it a whirl without death certificate and include birth cert.
Are you the next in blood line?
As I recall, documents were less difficult than a Medal.
I dealt with a helpful lady there Barbara Kroll. I wonder if you could get her on the phone?

I read about the MOD but have not been able to get a copy of dad's death certificate from Argentina. I need to call the MOD and ask if just showing my birth cert as proof of "next of kin" that would be enough? Anyone knows how strict they are in cases like this? Do they really take 6 months to respond? Thanks again.
