It should be a little more accurate than the one above that looks like a pair of
pliers. I think the jaws of the latter tool have a stepped section to allow for
the part where the pin will wrap around the insulation being a little larger in
circumference.
I do know from experience that for crimping the powerpole connections, you want
a crimper designed for that. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it.
Is there a place where you can buy just the powerpole pins for cases where you
have to replace one that wasn't crimped properly before it got to you? (Not just
a pair of 2 bare connectors as they're about the same price, after shipping, as
when buying the whole connector with shell in quantities of 20 or so.)
