I normally use tar to make the backup. Just plug in a jump drive and backup / and /boot partitions to it. FYI, this does not make a normal pi.img file but just "zips" all the files off the partitions

Assuming you are using the sabrent sound card or similar, open pat menu. Choose Manage Pat Winlink, and then choose Set ARDOP PTT. Change this value to TRUE. This will give you CAT PTT for the 891. If

Saving image to PC
Strange. Using the PC disk image program I found I had to create a blank file ?(backup.img) on the PC BEFORE running the program! It would not let me create one. Once done, it did read the SD card
