Open Pat Menu and choose Manage Pat Winlink. On the next screen, choose Pat Login-Logout. Log in by entering your call, password, and 6 character grid square. Then click log in. This will make sure

Re: Direwolf Flashing
Thanks Jason, that works, B&W mode is better than the flashing :)

Direwolf and GPS
Using Build-a-Pi I found that GPS support was not included in the Direwolf build. Jason may have included this in a later build but if not it may help someone who knows they want GPS support in

Re: Direwolf Flashing
start direwolf using the "-t 0" switch and it will stop the flashing. If you normally start direwolf with direwolf -p then use direwolf -p -t 0 and it won't flash. -- 73, de KM4ACK YouTube (

Direwolf Flashing
Every install results in a flashing console for Direwolf, a bit of research seems to indicate that this has been fixed in the dev branch. I can compile from source using make etc. But the dev branch

Grid Square Not Found in Pat Configure error in Conky Recent Log Entries
i saw this error when Build-a-pi ran. It said to run pat config or configure. I ran what it said and it opened an empty file. There was no config. What am I missing. This sort of thing is usually easy

Re: GPS and Build-a-Pi V3
Did you try a reboot yet or removing all the other usb devices? I had that happen when I first ran the script and when I plugged in a SSD for backing up. -- 73 de KC0WBP

Re: #DIY #PI4 PI4 Hat idea. #PI4 #DIY
I did a quick test tonight. I added the "dtoverlay=uart5" to the /boot/config.txt file and rebooted. The device ttyAMA1 was present after the reboot. A quick install of minicom and a jumper wire on

Chris, Have you tried just typing flrig in the terminal? Do you see an flrig and fldigi files/folder in the download folder? You might want to try deleting them and running the script again. -- 73,

Re: This might be a dumb question.... (Build a Pi on Laptop?)
Jay and Tim are right. Somethings will work. I just don't want anyone to think it will work out of the box. The FLDIGI suite, hamlib, and direwolf should build fine. JS8, WSJTX, and Pat all grab the

Re: This might be a dumb question.... (Build a Pi on Laptop?)
It should come close to working on most debian/ubuntu systems. I haven't gone line-by-line on the script yet but it doesn't look like much would need to be changed for a full x86 system. The only

I normally use tar to make the backup. Just plug in a jump drive and backup / and /boot partitions to it. FYI, this does not make a normal pi.img file but just "zips" all the files off the partitions
