Yes, you can use OP25. I doubt it will make it to Build a Pi (but anything is possible) because it is not very easy to configure and requires a bit of knowledge and user know how to get working. It

Not included in BaP. Any true trunk-tracker takes 2 SDRs (or more), one for the control channel(s) and one for the comms channel. There are a bunch of packages out there to do it.

It was a coincidence. I did more research afterward and discovered that Raspberry Pi’s can get hot and when you reboot the unit isn’t happy. Left it powered off for a while and powered it back on.
