Hi - CAT for PTT and just cable. Everything is dedicated for the Pi so haven't tried any of these cables on pc - might see if thats a possibility or if I have another USB A to USB B cable. I'm pretty certain its just user error / cable (?) vs the pi as there are a lot of unknown to me things involved here lol. The CAT control itself works in the sense I wouldnt?be able to change from ft4 to ft8 and have the freq change on the rig correct ? Jim
Are you using CAT for PTT? VOX? An interface that keys PTT, etc.? Are you using some kind of audio interface or just cables? Doesn't sound like a "Linux" issue per se, just sounds like something is not configured correctly for your setup or even an issue with your cables or interface. Does it work on a PC but not on the Pi? What makes you think it's a Pi issue? Installed BAP and patches except Test Patch ( dont know what that is)
Also new to flrig etc. but its installed and init works with ft891 - will key it up freq changes etc
used flrig/flrig with wsjtx (familiar with wsjtx on base ic7300 on pc)
wsjtx 2.4.0 - no erros and acts like it working - can change freq etc, enable acts like its sending but rig is not keyed up
sabrent sound configured - no apparent issues, ublox gps no apperent issues (but sometimes need to unplug/plug back but also inside for now)
using 5w to dummy load for now - just cant figure out why wsjtx not actually trying to xmit
suggestions ? (explicit commands needed - not a unix guru) - yes I have flrig running before wsjtx starts
