Try adding your call and grid to both WSJT-X and js8 (run each each application and go into settings.? I think that might fix: "js8call: Depends: wsjtx-data but it is not installed)

Run timeshift just before upgrading the kernel and you should be able to easily go back. Grub also keeps the previous kernel in boot and root so you can go back using that method as well. K6ORJ

On some laptops you can switch the network card out to an Intel card. This should eliminate most wifi/Bluetooth issues, but some laptops bios will reject anything other than the OEM network card.? In
