Re: AX25 + SignaLink Not Keying Radio
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJason,I think that was someone else who was messing with the kiss param from the cmd line. ?Mine are at default values. ? I did look through the whole file and found towards the bottom an iGate function that I commented out. ?Didn¡¯t make a difference. The noise is a little bit better this morning when I turned the FT-857D xmit level to 5W vs 50W. ?I¡¯m wondering if there¡¯s a delay setting I¡¯m missing in the 857D? ?At this point, with the sound being so good in the SignaLink monitor, I¡¯ve got to think I¡¯ve got a radio configuration issue. SOOOOO close!!!! Very respectfully, Grant

BAP3 + WSJTX pronlems
Thanks for all the hard work. Has any one reported problems with WSJTX ? I can get the sound working OK but not cat control. i'm using a Pi 4 with 4gb memory and I'm using all the same settings as previous versions of BAP for my FT 818 but can not get the cat control working. I'm currently Using a standard Cat cable and a USB Sabrent sound dongle. If i swap back to my version 2 of BAP sd card everything works ok so i know radio and pi are ok. Same setting on v3 and wont copmmunicate with Cat. As i say sound side if fine, Just wondering if something has changed with port settings in buster.
Thanks all for any advice, Just cant see what i'm missing

Re: No HDMI Output PARTIALLY RESOLVED
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI took a stab at the IP address and
lucked out. I was able to get connected via VNC.
I changed the resolution and aspect
ratio that is the default load.
This allowed the monitor to display.
It is still not 100% and I will work
through all the combinations to find the best fit.
Thanks to all!!!!!!!

Absolutely understand and I hope you find a solution Ed!? That is a nice, relatively inexpensive monitor normally available through Walmart, (mine says unavailable right now).?

TNC-PI and Build a PI
I have had this TNC-Pi for awhile sitting on a PI three. I have the setup web for loading up the Pi. I'm flashing a 32 gb SD card. Those running the Pi tnc have issues. 73 Don Poaps

Re: No HDMI Output
Dave,
I understand that this is not Build-A-Pi related specifically.?
Just thought I would ask those that a also focused on getting a Pi to work.
I have found the spec manual and the default setting of the Pi may not work with it.
I got this Sceptre E16 because it is 12v DC and I can run it on the same power
system as my rig and the Pi.
I will figure it out.

About all I can suggest is to make sure you are connecting to HDMI port "0", (the one closest to the power jack).? HDMI 1 won't work if it is connected to the only display in use.? There were tons of discussions on this very thing right after the initial release of the 4b over on the Hope this helps. 73, dave/W6TUX |

Re: No HDMI Output
Some older monitors/TVs seem to have issues with the Pi 4. I have had this issue with three Pi 4s and my older Samsung TV at home. The fix that worked for me was to edit the config.txt file. I'm at work currently, so it make take me a bit, but I'll see if I can find the bits that need to be added/edited.?

No HDMI Output
One and All,
I have a new Pi 4-4Gig and have loaded the the KM4ACK Build-A-Pi.? Great stuff!! I can see my Pi screen if I use VNC or an HDMI to VGA adapter.? I have a 12v DC HDMI monitor that works when connected via HDMI to a Pi3. What should I look at on my PI4 to have to output available in HDMI on HDMI0? Current settings are 1:8 in the aspect ration and 1280x720 resolution.? I am double checking the monitor but need to get to work and don't have the manual next to me right now. What are some of the things that I should check? Ed, KD9FRQ |
Re: FLMSG seems to not update?
Jerry,
Run the following to fix (NOTE: should anything fail, DO NOT attempt with sudo) cd ~ rm -rf pi-build git clone chmod +x ~/pi-build/update After doing the above, run the build a pi icon from the main pi menu. Explanation: First command verifies we are in the home directory. Second deletes the pi-build directory Third clones the build a pi repository again. Forth makes the update script exec. -- 73, de KM4ACK
