I haven't used a Chromebook, but I have used a Windows Laptop that is very similar <$150 or so. The battery life is good and it usually lasts longer than I can in a single session. Ben

Just an FYI: Jason's entire suite (full install) performs perfectly for me even on a plain Raspi3, it does not need to be the 'B+' version. I am able to even run WSJT-X and GridTrack simultaneously,

Setting up duplex audio is the big stumbling block without using skype or some other 2nd party software. Mumble does not work well either. RigPi is a convoluted mess with it's audio. HTML 5 can do it
