Make sure PulseAudio isn't open when you use Ardop. No problem on JS8call or WSJT-X, but ardop will not work if it is open.
Re: Known Issues 64 Bit BAP

 

It appears as though HAMRS will not run on 64 bit. It may only be available as 32 bit until the developer updates. If anyone finds a workaround, please post.

Ok. In pat menu, click on quick stats and post a screenshot. In addition, open up the setting page in pat menu and post a screenshot of that as well.
I am assuming that you already have FLRIG open and configured for the 991?

Known Issues 64 Bit BAP

 

I am starting to dig into the 64 bit OS to solve known issues. So far I have resolved the issues with FLDIGI and Pat. What other applications have you found that won't work on the 64 bit version?

BAP is configured to always list your USB audio card as 3,0 assuming you are only using one USB sound card. I have tested the latest build several times and it always reports as 3,0. Run the following command and post the results please:
cat /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf

Open Pat Menu. Click on Manage Pat Winlink->Set ARDOP PTT. Change to "TRUE" and click Set PTT. Test the connection again.

As long as the Pi is in range of your home wifi, it will auto connect to it. Once your home wifi is no longer in range, the pi will generate the hotspot allowing you to connect from your phone/tablet. Two ways to test: 1. Unplug your home wifi (not ideal) and give the pi a few minutes to recognize it can't "see" the home network. 2. Throw the Pi into the car and drive away from the house. ? ? I¡¯m running BAP on a pi4 and I can not get it to transmit , I am running 991a with cat cable for ft8/js8call with no issues ? When I go to run Pat it will ?not transmit? Any suggestions??

I had rebooted multiple times and that did not solve it.
Instead, I reloaded Bullseye and used your Build tool to install FLRig and JS8Call. It works now.
I still want to understand how to use the Icom 705 w/ JS8Call on RPI without FLRig, so research continues.
RPi Hotspot not visible #HotSpot SSID #hotspot

 

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a bit of advice please. I can't see my RPi SSID on my iPhone or iPad and therefore be able to connect when using the hotspot in BAP. I can connect fine using my home wifi or when hotspot tools is in "force hotspot" mode (RPi SSID now visible). I want to use my RPi out in the field headless. Is there something I'm missing to make the RPi SSID visible on my iPad or iPhone??

RPi 4,OS with desktop 32 bit, up to date.?BAP (HotSpot tools enabled), VNC.

FLrig and JS8call

 

I notice that when I click on JS8CALL to change frequency like 14.078 or any other JS8Call frequency. Something has locked it. Click on 20 M and it goes to 20 and bounces?back to 7.078.

Unable to QSY even though FLrig and JS8CALL are talking to each other.?
