Re: Heads-up for Canadian Miady battery

Hey Terry, I don't know what size batteries you use in your chair. However I got rid of my 2 heavy as fun! And replaced with liposuction. My chair will actually travel about 3 miles further with less weight. I then took two more of these lightweight batteries to make a radio pack with. I forget about them often on back of chair and have nearly caused a fire by crushing one of them when backed up out of way.
After that, I don't leave attached to chair unless actively using it.
The two Batts in chair were 12@55A, which make for great backup system in house with the yearly exchange on batteries.

I don¡¯t have any experience doing this but I would think you could use a cheap SDR receiver dongle and software to look at the signal.
You should be able to see how wide it is on the screen.

Unless you changed the account name, it should be pi for username. ?Should also be your pi password.?

Dave

First I would recommend adding a blank text file - ssh.txt -? then using putty or what have you on windows or terminal on macs. ssh into the build a pi, run "sudo raspi-config" turn on? VNC in? interfacing options and don't for forget to set VNC resolution in display option ,set it to a higher resolution to make sure you can read it on your remote screen. create a? "wpa_supplicant.conf " put it on the sd card's boot side . I will? add the layout here so you can copy and paste it. Hope this helps..

Re: Created a Build a Pi SD card last night. Now I can't VNC into it today #bullseye #direwolf #conky

Another possible answer:? Sometimes when I boot my Pi it fails to recognize my Wifi so I have to wait until the Hospot timer tries again.? I set mine to 2 minutes.? Then it works as usual.? For some reason it turns on the hotspot on boot and I end up with a 10.10.10.10 address.? If you connect Ethernet at boot you can always come in on that address and see what is going on with Conky.? Your router might be hanging on to the old address (the way it should) as addresses are given a lease when they are assigned and that address will continue to be used as long as the device is used within the lease period.? Often youu can VNC into it using the hostname of the Pi, like vnc raspberrypi? try that.

Re: Created a Build a Pi SD card last night. Now I can't VNC into it today #bullseye #direwolf #conky

Most obvious question: Did you enable VNC in raspi-config, Interfaces, VNC?

Jason,

Something to note. The ARDOP PTT config is available in two locations in PAT Menu. One is in Manage PAt Winlink as you described before, the other is in Settings/Config. I had to make sure both were set to yes before my station would cooperate.

Re: Js8call program features too large to use #js8call

Just tried a few digferent resolutions again and its always the same with the js8 program. All the features are too large and wont match its window size like the terminal window. Terminal woll adjust sizing of letters amd numbers. Js8 is keeping all of its icons and things too massive to use.

Re: Js8call program features too large to use #js8call

It seems like things like terminal frame are fine with me, just the js8 program.

Re: Js8call program features too large to use #js8call

I'm having the same issue. My PI 3 A+ is nicely set up for my desktop or Toughbook. I tried to change the resolution?on the pad and it was a lost cause. I may have to get an Android phone terminal and ssh in and use sudo raspi-config to change the?resolution?that way.

Re: Baofeng uv5r, Direwolf and YACC Not Transmitting

I¡¯ve never had any luck with any Chinese radios using VOX and anything packet, although the UV-5R and md380 are the only ones I¡¯ve tried. I ended up using my tnc-x TNC and creating my own cable. This worked great when I tried using Xastir but I haven¡¯t been able to do anything packet related for some time now. If a hardware TNC is feasible, here¡¯s the instructions to build a proper cable:

AX.25 Port Configuration for Pat WInlink on Pi Zero

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hey all,

I followed Jason's "Pi Zero Project" videos to build a Pi Zero headless setup. A great help for a newcomer to digital modes! No problems with initial install of AX.25 or Pat. All command responses followed the video exactly.

After shutting the Pi down and starting up the next day, I have an error with AX.25 port configuration.

pi@pizero:~ $ pat connect ax25:///WA6LIE-10
2022/02/10 21:33:10 Connecting to WA6LIE-10 (ax25)...

My "axports" file shows one entry, equal to the output from:

"echo "wl2k $CALL 1200 255 7 Winlink" | sudo tee -a /etc/ax25/axports"

Output of "rfkill list"

I'm sure it's a step or connection I missed. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance!
