Re: Conky Maybe
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýis there a way to monitor the voltage from the command line? if so, Conky can display that however, it probably won't help you see why it booted as the conky display will be reset during boot.? If there is a way to monitor the voltage I would suggest simply outputting this to a log file using the append (>>) redirect command.? ?Still could be tricky if its a sudden drop however if it is something that is a slow drain until it finally reboots then it would show it.? Does any other log show anything?? There is a number of logs in the /var/log directory Thanks, Terry K4HNT ---- On Thu, 16 Sep 2021 17:40:51 -0400 Marty Hartwell <mhartwe@...> wrote ----

Conky Maybe
Hi
I have been playing with my Rpi 4B 4GB and have seen a bit of a problem. Not consistent either. My pi is housed in a combination monitor 7 inch all in one unit. The power supply that came with the monitor has two power connectors one for the pi and one for the monitor. There are times when it will cycle power and reboot. So my thinking was is there an application for Linux that will monitor the voltage and display it maybe on the Conky screen, similar to the Temp. Or just launch the app to monitor the voltage. One think did cross my mine that I have a 4 port USB2 expansion unit that has a 16 GB disk in it to provide me a convenient backup storage for the files I don't want to loose if I need to re-flash the microSD card some time when I haven't had a chance to do my boot card backup. Re: P26 trunk tracking
That is incorrect,? OP25 can be configured to work with 1 RTL©\SDR and it works fine. You can run 1 with DSDPLUS on a PC as well. On Thu, Sep 16, 2021, 09:01 Kevin <kd9efv@...> wrote: Not included in BaP. Any true trunk-tracker takes 2 SDRs (or more), one for the control channel(s) and one for the comms channel. Re: P26 trunk tracking
Yes, you can use OP25. I doubt it will make it to Build a Pi (but anything is possible) because it is not very easy to configure and requires a bit of knowledge and user know how to get working. It works great though and I use it all the time. 73 de AD4XJ? On Thu, Sep 16, 2021, 08:56 Brizn herd <ve3hbj@...> wrote:

Re: P26 trunk tracking
You can use op25 with a single rtl-sdr dongle to do p25 phase 1 and 2, Here is the forked version to use:?
Here is a decent doc on setting it up:? I used a couple of these setups with rpi3s and op25 running with single rtl-sdr dongle to feed broadcastify scanner feeds. The only issue I ran into is those dongles if they are going to be on 24/7 to do something similar (provide a feed), they get extremely hot, have a fan and good airflow to keep them cool. |
Re: Pat Templates 163 - Stuck in reboot
K3JRZ
It was a coincidence. I did more research afterward and discovered that Raspberry Pi¡¯s can get hot and when you reboot the unit isn¡¯t happy. Left it powered off for a while and powered it back on. Back to normal.? Now if someone could get the Pat (weather) Winlink forms #163 to actually display that would be great. Yeah. (Issue found by participants of the American Legion Post 42 Winlink Net). Thanks Jason! Keep up the?good work! 73! On Thu, Sep 16, 2021 at 07:18 km4ack <jason.oleham@...> wrote: I think it is just coincidence that this happened. I doubt it has anything to do with updating Pat forms. Hopefully you have a backup card that you can fall back to. --

Re: Pat Winlink latest update
The post is from July 15.? I encountered yesterday the issue of not having the USGS DYFI template.? I updated to v.163 of forms successfully and yet nothing.? I went to my .wl2k/Standard_forms directory and saw the directory Please report this to the Pat forum so the developer knows about the issue. -- 73, de KM4ACK

where to find icon for main menue?
hi,
did some action to create additional FLrig settings for different trx. Realized that new ones are created in a main menue sub folder which I renamed to 'flrig-suite'. I'd like to change the icon shown there to the flrig one, where can I find the icon? thanks 73 de DG6TOM, KC6TOM |

Re: Very New to Pi etc - FT-891 no xmit with wsjtx using flrig
First I'd make sure my soundcard input and output are set correctly in wsjtx and js8call. Are you seeing activity in your waterfall? If not,? definitely check program is pointed to soundcard. Also, since you never used this setup, could be a cable issue. Your audio cable from your soundcard is going to the data mini din connector in the back of the radio, right? Another thing, the 891 settings can be very confusing and a lot of people have issues with them. Jason posted a link not too long ago to another hams website that he used to setup is..might want to look for that one.? On Wed, Sep 15, 2021, 17:21 Jim Hart - WD5GRW <wd5grw@...> wrote:

Apparently I didn't?check CAT under PTT method in WSJTX?- now triggers the rig using flrig... on to more real world testing soon Jim On Wed, Sep 15, 2021 at 4:04 PM Jim Hart - WD5GRW via <wd5grw=[email protected]> wrote: Goal - Use Pi4 in field (POTA) with dig modes (wsjtx for now) |
Re: Very New to Pi etc - FT-891 no xmit with wsjtx using flrig
Hi - CAT for PTT and just cable. Everything is dedicated for the Pi so haven't tried any of these cables on pc - might see if thats a possibility or if I have another USB A to USB B cable. I'm pretty certain its just user error / cable (?) vs the pi as there are a lot of unknown to me things involved here lol. The CAT control itself works in the sense I wouldnt?be able to change from ft4 to ft8 and have the freq change on the rig correct ? I have not checked .... for me it is a short drive away to RS store =)?? I got it over 18 months ago and I do not have a part number to give you =) On Wed, Sep 15, 2021 at 4:07 PM Marty Hartwell <mhartwe@...> wrote:

Re: Very New to Pi etc - FT-891 no xmit with wsjtx using flrig
Are you using CAT for PTT? VOX? An interface that keys PTT, etc.? Are you using some kind of audio interface or just cables? Doesn't sound like a "Linux" issue per se, just sounds like something is not configured correctly for your setup or even an issue with your cables or interface. Does it work on a PC but not on the Pi? What makes you think it's a Pi issue? Re: Bluetooth adapter
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi I was thinking some one like Signalink could incorporate blue tooth in a new interface that we already use, to just do away with the current cable. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I really like the blue tooth CAT that we have now.
