Re: Build a Pi 3.0.3 Released
There is an issue with WSJT-x ver 2.2.2 running WSPR in band hopping mode. It crashes! It also does it on my Laptop running the same version. I had an older version on another pi as well as an older version on my laptop and they both work fine.?
My problem is that I can't find an older version for the Pi. ver 2.2.1 which works ok on both machines. When I search for add/remove programs on the pi, it only comes up with the latest 2.2.2.? Any suggestions? Thanks! -Mike |
Re: This might be a game changer for portable HAM
Cool, although I won't be throwing away the pi strapped to my radio.?? Carrying this as a control surface however, would add redundancy?should you have a failure out in the field, especially if you add a buck converter module for 12 V power, RTC and sound card which look like they would all fit neatly inside the box.? Definitely?something to watch. ?Neil VK3IG? On Mon, 24 Aug 2020 at 05:59, Brian T Schmidt <schmidtbt73@...> wrote: RPI4 tablet |
Re: FT-891 and WSJT-X irregular transmission
This is a bit of an old topic but I wanted to update the group.? I recently purchased a Signalink and my previous issue is gone. WSJT-X works just fine with my MacBook?Pro or my Raspberry Pi. I think the problem was probably with the 6pin DIN cable from my FT-891 to the sound card. I'll get a new one soon and see if that works.? Yeasu FT-890 connects to JS8 but not FL-Rig
#PI4
So, I got a Yeasu FT-890 with the USB Cat controller, on a Raspberry Pi-4, 4 gig, running Build-a-Pi. I was able to connect to FL-Rig 3 times, and now it keeps saying the radio is not responding. Although, I can connect to JS8 rig control without issue at all it works seamlessly. Any ideas on what might be going on??

Re: Headed to Headless Conversion
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTry using the terminal or ssh and enter the sudo raspi-config command.? Then:1. Go to Boot Options, and change to Boot to console.? 2. Go to Interfacing Options, enable VNC. Back out to where you can highlight finish and select it. At the command prompt, type sudo reboot.? From now on, you can boot to the console by plugging the monitor in, or to headless by unplugging the monitor and rebooting.? I do this on my pi zero w and 3B+. Mark,? KE6BB? |
Re: Case Options
My OCD got the best of me. Went back and used stepped hole saw to just make one big opening and put fiberglass window screen over from the bottom. Saw wasn¡¯t quite big enough to completely eradicate one of the original holes but it was close enough i could cover it with a label hihi.

Thank you, Stan. That¡¯s very clean.

Re: Headed to Headless Conversion
Alternatively, if you don't have the Pi set up to auto login and boot to the desktop on startup, then you will have to SSH into the Pi to log in to continue the boot up. You should then be able to load VNC. You can check/change whether it boots to desktop or command line by running sudo rapsi-config from the command line.
