I don't have a TNC3 at the moment to test with but I'll try to get one ordered soon so I can test it with Pat Menu. It works fine with my TNC2 but there may need to be some tweaks to the code for the TNC3. Hence the reason this feature is still marked beta. There is a difference between the different models.
