Re: New Raspi OS - Bookworm #bap #bullseye #rpi

I broke my own rule of never using *.0 anything and found that the live install of Debian 12.0 (bookworm), released in June, was terminally buggy for old Intel hardware.? v12.1 was quickly released with a fix.? I doubt the ARM branch had the problem.

Still running Bullseye on my RPis.? It's listed as "oldstable", while Bookworm is the current "stable" release. Bullseye moves under their "long term support" umbrella in June 2024 until June 2026. Bookworm will be under current support until June 2026, then long-term for another two years.? Presumably RPi OS will parallel that.?

Debian has consistently released new versions every two years since 2006 with five years of active support (3 current, 2 long-term).
