I had one QSO on 160m, with K2J. My rule of thumb: if I call 10 CQs in a row with no responses I change bands or go do something else for a while. Sometimes I switch between 2 bands, like 30m

There may be a global setting to turn it off, but the only way I've found to do it is to edit the SSB function key file to eliminate the reference to any wav files. Don't forget to do both run and

I read about others having pileups.? I have not had any.? I think it is the time of day on 20 meters with a lot of QSB. Operating 160 meters was interesting.? There was a lot of noise and signals

I just finished 2 hours on 40 ssb. Lots of static crashes here, and slower than the last two days. Total QSO's is 545 so far. I am really enjoying this and appreciate being invited to operate. Best

I will be closing the slots late in the evening today on 20 meters. Yesterday evening I did 90 contacts on 20 meters. It was pretty chill with very low noise. Interesting contacts in the North Slope
