I pushed a few buttons and do not see anything. Reading the Midi Implementation chart it states that local control is received but not transmitted.

?Hmmm, The key question is if hitting a button sends data out, or if it requires a query to find out the changed information on the front panel. The programmer already has the codes to send button data to the machine, but he's looking for the other direction. So if someone presses, for instance, the yes or no button, is that going to generate data going out?

The source code for ObjectEditorX is available as a .dmg file from my Fiansa web site. There is a module in there that replicates the front panel of the k1000, receiving and displaying the screen, and software implementing all the buttons.
Hope it helps?

?Hey folks,
I'm talking with someone who is working on making a display reader
for Kurzweil instruments accessible on several platforms. To this end
he needs to know if pressing the buttons on the module or keyboard
sends data out through the MIDI Out. What he needs is for someone to
use MIDI-OX, press the buttons on the device, (probably best if this
is one with the full numeric button array for completeness) and save
the MIDI-OX log file, assuming any MIDI data is sent. Shoot that file to me and I'll get it on to him.
Anyone out there who could do this? I would, but right now my modules
and keyboard are mothballed.
