What I wanted to ask you for a long time. What tool did you use to apply the plastic cramps?
They save a lot of time.?
Cheers Bernd |

Hi Robert
Congratulations on your ECO 550 catamaran. You made a nice first trip. There are no photos that show the whole boat. You made some interesting things. Like the mast step. See I it right, you use a Gunter rig? Have fun Cheers Bernd |

Re: KD 122 Italy two build
I do not understand about the transom issue. As mentioned, normally your changes are sensible and you have good taste. But, I had made the roof a bit longer.
This wooden pillar looks like "hu we need a support, take a piece of wood otherwise, it is falling down" Whit a stainless you can omit this impression. That is all ciao |

Objet : Re: [K-Designs-Multihull-Sailboats] KD 122 Italy two build
We had thought of putting two stainless steel pipes close together with support on the cockpit, but they fall a little towards the inside.
The inclination of the pillar is necessary not to place anything on the transom because in the future it will be possible to mount the slop version and put the trolley on the boom without problems.
As you know, the boat will be mounted on mast A.frame and then there will be the stern tube that holds the mainsail ...
With the stainless steel tube I have nothing to say, certainly more elegant but it must be mounted like the current pillar. Look at the photo.
Don't worry I'll do my best ;-) the boat owner believes a lot in your project with the A-frame mast (that's why I agreed to build) and he also believes a lot in me, that's why he delegated me on all the decisions to make. He is a Doctor, a very special
period between hospital, covid and home visits from patients, he is great!
Ps he told me to tell you that at the end of the construction there will be a brass plate with your name and mine, as well as that you will be invited here in southern Italy.
ciao |

Re: KD 122 Italy two build
Hi Domenico
This wooden pillar for the sundeck is out of proportion in my view.? When you use instead a? stainless steel pipe it would look a lot better. My view only Cheers Bernd? |

Re: KD 122 Italy two build
Hi Bernd
For the sundeck, the first idea was two but then we opted for only one in the center, inclined like the transom.
With the boat at anchor, you can install curtains which will then be removed during navigation.
The sundeck, with only one pillar and very stable, I walk on it and the solar panels for the electric motors will be mounted.
What do you mean by stainless steel pipes, put two on the stern sides? |

Re: KD 122 Italy two build
Hi Domenico Again big progress. Looks really great. You have good taste. But, I am wondering about the support of the sundeck. It is ugly! Sorry, can you change it to a say stainless steel tube support? Happy sunday Bernd

Re: Duo 900 Italy
Hi Bernd
As for the Duo 900, there was an agreement between me and the customer, an exchange.
They decided to buy the KD 860 from me and the Duo remained with me.
Now I have decided to transfer the Duo from Puglia (my home) where I am building the KD 122, so I can alternate what little work is missing.
I will do everything to put it into the sea in this 2022.I am confident that there is little missing, paint and the 10m wing mast that I am already preparing ...
?
PS I'm sorry I lost the KD 860, I love that boat but it was a shame to always keep it still in port and use it a few times, it causes a lot of work. But I am happy that he has found a new owner who will cross with tourists in the Gargano National Park (Puglia)
