Re: Voyager plans for sale
Hi everybody ,
Unfortunately i need to change my plans , and i have full drawings for voyager 12 for sale with 2 masts , all stainless pieces laser cuting , aluminium tubes , polycarbonate sheet and okume plywood panel following Bernd statement . I am available to answer your questions . Olivier |
Re: Voyager plans for sale
I'm sorry, but the Voyager plans were sold to another member of this group, and the plans were sold with only 1 authorized build.
She's a beautiful boat, and if you're serious, the original price of the plans is a very small price compared to other plans I've purchased, and Bernd is very good about support. Good luck, ~Lee |
Re: Little Tri - novice questions
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
I would hazard to say that I have probably pushed the Little Tri further than most.??:)?
?Only once did I bury an outrigger float during a poor gybe..? The boat recovered very quickly after I released the sheet and headed up.? In that circumstances, the lifting plate may have done little good.? ?I'm of the mind that if the wind is strong enough to bury a float, then it is past time to reef.

Hi Max, The lift plate is probably the optional small lifting surface that you can install at the outside on the bow of the float.?
It is meant to make the boat less prone to nose diving (lifting the float bow at speed).?
I didn't install it because in my kind of use it's impractical to have it stincking out while docking etc.
I also never felt the need but maybe someone sailing the boat more "on the edge" than I do would benefit.
Good luck with the built. I think you choose a nice boat to build. I use my Little Tri quite often for fun sailing, rig experiments? and camping trips.
Cheers, Hans

Re: Little Tri - novice questions
Hi Max
Hans has given alreadythe answer to the lifting plates. Till now no owner of a "Little Tri" was in the situation that the plates where necessary. Lifting increases automatic through the angle of the amas. But when you have the inclination to use the boat in extreme situations, it would help. Cheers Bernd |

Little Tri - novice questions
Hello Bernd and all,
I¡¯m going through the DXF files while building a workbench for the Little Tri, hoping that gives me enough time to answer the novice questions I keep having. This one is: could someone please explain the ¡°rasterwing.dxf¡± file that is titled ¡°lift plate¡± on the drawing itself. I have no idea what either one is and how am I to use it in the build. Thanks in advance. Max |
P95
Hi, Somebody building (or finished the construction of) a P95? The KD860, my first option must be built near the shore; my second, the? DUO800s, though fast and, clever design and easy to carry won't offer the room I need. Now I saw the P95, which can be built in parts and joined after. I would like to have some opinion before buying the plans. |
Re: KD Italy
Hi Domenico
The inclination as shown is at around 4500mm. But when you sail the boat it is possible that it is necessary to sail with less inclination. Depents on the sail cut mainly. So turnbuckles completely "closed". When you then open the turnbuckle the mast moves more forward on the top (less slant). Cheers Bernd |
Re: Patrick Voyager
Hi Domenico
It was one of the best holidays. We where there for 8 weeks. Yes always wind, special in Sepdember afternoons (if not the Sirocco was blowing to hard) it was hilarious. I invented there the slogan I used for a time for the boat. "Sailing this boat is like getting high without druks and aftermath". Otherwise my wife and the boat where the "photomodels" on the beach.? Bye |
Re: Patrick Voyager
Yes Bernd..a lovely pic..but you are looking more handsome these days..:-) so whats your secret? Regards, Gerrit.
