we recently talked about using a luvboard for better side wind stability. I'm not yet done with this, but, to be honest, it just helps if enough water depth is available like in ports. In shallow waters it does not. Due to this I'm getting back to your plans and think about using a small electric outboard under the bridge deck at the bow that can be flipped up. Just to use it as a bowthruster. What do you think, how "small" can this be, how much lbs I have to plan with to struggle winds at 4-5 bft maybe?
