Ford LGT parts tractor - year, transaxle & hydro info 4
looking for the year of manufacture for the above tag, also for the same tractor model number for the Eaton transaxle (which I believe is an 11 series). I just don't see a tag anywhere on the transaxle (but it may be because I have to remove same from frame)

1969 Ford LGT120 PTO 11
Happy New Year folks. I'm trying to help my cousin with his father's Ford tractor. His dad bought this new and I might be off on the year and I might be off on the model, but that is my best guess for now. Tractor is a gear drive, 10HP? Kohler. Engine sits cross ways on frame, not in line like the newer models. I've never seen an electric pto like this one has, it sits out on the end of the crank shaft and has a pin to keep it from turning. The electric part of pto works, but it looks like the pulley and clutch plate were attached together and it had a double roller bearing and one completely disintegrated. The clutch plate springs are broken causing the clutch to sit off center. Need advise or replacements. I'll try to attach pictures of clutch components, but I forgot to get picture of whole tractor. Thanks for any help.

Bought my son a Ford lawn tractor, last year. I’m pretty sure it’s from the late 60’s. He’s determined to restore it, and I’m trying to find out more info. Has a Kohler engine, and it’s a hydro. Serial number has 53250 and 3067. Engine has E0026901 and 47238B. Thanks in advance, for any help on identifying!!

removal of generator from LGT16D tractor 15
I'm not getting my battery charged on the tractor and it appears the generator is on the fritz. One large wire comes out of the generator comprising 2 smaller wires. How would I approach removing this large wire so I can remove the generator and get it evaluated? How is that large wire disconnected from the generator? thanks to all,

1650 Jac 4
I have been looking on the web for Jac 1650s that are for sale, because I am going to have to sell mine. I don't know if they weren't that popular, or if they have just become a member of the families that own them. The guy I bought it from said that it was his deceased dad’s favorite toy and he really wanted to restore it, but the engine was shot and he couldn’t afford to do so. The Kohler parts were already very expensive and I probably paid too much for it, but I understood where he was coming from. I'm now 80 years old and my kids want me to "down size." It is all original except for the seat, tires and a new starter. I completely overhauled the engine when I got it a few years ago, including a rebore, valve regrind and carb and ignition. At that time, I also replaced the belt and blades on the mower, plus a few misc. parts that don’t detract from original, bearings, etc. I was planning on painting it but time got away from me, too many other fires to put out! I plan on selling it on eBay, because as I understand the rules, I can’t sell it here, but don't know how to price it. Don't want to give it away, but also don't want to scare a potential buyer away by being ridicules. My first experience with Jacobsen Garden Tractors was in 1973 when I designed a trencher as allied equipment for a GT 16. I was impressed with the people at Jacobsen as they were very easy to work with. Not so much some of the other manufactures. The GT 16 didn't have enough hydraulic outlets for our purpose and they had no problem OK'ing my addition of extra lever, valve and piping, which they then added as optional equipment. It did a beautiful job of trenching, actually, way beyond our original expectations. We had originally thought of it as being a tool for electricians only but it had no problem with a deeper/wider trench. I also designed a trencher for a number of other tractors, including John Deere, Bolens and Simplicity, but the little GT 16 was my favorite. Kind of ironic since I am a John Deere man at heart, at least my wife says, "I bleed green." I wish I would have latched onto one of them when I moved on, but I guess, hind sight is still 20/20. A fellow named, Bobby Bruneau, has one of my trenchers on the back of a 1978 Bolens HT 20 and Bulldog Trencher, with a picture on yesterdaystractors.com. We have become friends, long distance, because of it. I had been looking for a trencher, just for nostalgic purposes, couldn’t find one, when I discovered Bobby’s. He told me he bought it from a member of the Bolens club that he is part of, who lives in Australia. I don’t think I would want one that bad! If any of you have a general idea as to the value of my 1650, I would appreciate a heads up. Thanks Sarge/Tony

Ford LGT-195 2 For Sale 18
Hello Group I have two LGT-195 tractors with decks that are for sale. I bought them over 15 years ago with the idea of restoring them. They both can run and drive. They have been stored inside my garage. Decks need to be repaired but I was told that one worked but is not pretty. The better looking one needs a few belt pulleys. I am near O'Hare airport in Illinois. For more data and pictures, please email me. Thanks. Paul psharp54@...

Snow blower discharge chute problem
I have a 2 stage snow blower on my 1964 Jacobsen Chief 1000. When I turn the handle that aims the discharge chute it doesn't always turn the chute. This happens mostly when I want it to face to the left. I don't know if the black plastic that the chute sits in, or the gear, has worn. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a fix for this problem? Thanks in advance for your help. Ralph Lipeles

Alternate Part Numbers for Mandrels (spindels) 1983 42 in Deck 6
Hi all, has anyone converted the 42" deck using "other brand" mandrels/spindle kits? I'm just about done with my rebuild (blast, cut, weld, repaint) and find there are several parts no longer available. So, Ford/JAC loyalties aside, why not go with a Husq or other brand and just adjust the belt size to fit the new spindle system? My primary issue is the center mandrel and double pulley being obsolete. Any thoughts are appreciated. -- Kevin Ford LGT 125 Raleigh, NC
