Re: Extra Teensy Sockets on mobo

With the exception of one ground connection none of these pins have any connection on the JackAl board.

Thanks Ron,

Just to clarify in case I wasn’t clear, my question is: If I were connect these unused ports on the teensy to the jackal board through holes, would it cause any problem?

I want to make sure there are no residual circuits on the jackal board that could cause trouble.

Jack,
Thanks for the response.? I did go through the board files and did see that those are not connected in any way.
Thanks again for the response so quickly.

I have no knowledge of what those pins are connected to on the JackAl board. Just
commented on what the pins were for.

the program i have for viewing these docs is Lebreoffice writer and it is not rendering the docx docs correctly.? mostly just the pics which are overwriting other pics.? i think that others have mentioned this also.

so the request is to publish these as pdfs and i think it would solve the problem.

I'm using 4 pin mini XLR for the mic and it would be easy to add later as you suggested.

Re: Electret Mic

I think you'll find the JackAl has enough drive for you. I would try it that way. If that doesn't work, you can always retro fit it.

We are aware of the encoder transition problem. That's on my todo list and I hope to have that fixed in the next release. No, both VFO's should work with ALS. That's a new one as I never noticed it nor did the Beta's.

Just wondering if others are seeing this action?? When changing bands with the encoder Clk1 will transition as it is supposed to from 33.....MHz to 56....MHz above 10Mhz (freq counter).? If you select a band using the band select Clk 1 will only transition if you move an encoder (i.e.40 to 20 or 20 to 40).? If you select USB when in LSB mode or vice versa from the screen Clk 1 does not change and it appears you remain in the selected mode for the selected band. In other words unable to select USB for digital (FT8)?when below 10Mhz or, LSB when above 10Mhz.

If VFO B is selected the ALS encoder does nothing, or is that the way it is meant to work.? Might have missed it in the docs.? Seems to work as described in RIT.

BTW really like the second ALS encoder, wasn't sure I would but am a convert!? Kudo's to you and Al.
