I just reviewed the schematics again and I was mistaken about the hum without the teensy and audio shield in place.? The signal goes from the recieve audio amp, Q101-Q102 to the input of the Left channel in on the audio shield and then out of the left channel out of the shield into the power amp. Guess I did not look closely enough at the schematic and was thinking more of the 12V on the 5V buss.? Anyway a quick voltage check using the values on the schematic(Assembly manual pg 32)will tell you whether Q101 and Q102 are okay or shorted.? Sorry for the wrong info, but with the teensy and the audio shield working the hum test is correct.

I think I may have fried my JackAl PCB.

-I went over everything and eventually found a HUGE MISTAKE on my part.? Instead of 7805 I had installed 7812 for U2.
-I remvoed U2 and installed correct 7805 but I think at this point the damage was already done for symptoms did not change

Short of buying another JackAl PCB does anyone have any suggestions or can anyone repair the JackAl PCB?

If you wire up the connector, it has "guides" on it that will only mate with the ?BITX connector the right way. The schematic also shows the connections.
