by John Ladd (principal investigator and survey author)
The Annual John Muir Trail Hiker Survey is an ongoing survey project investigating middle-distance Sierra Nevada hiking. Most participants are JMT thru-hikers, but section hikers are included, as are those who use the JMT in connection with adjacent trails.
As of early 2021, I am exploring making this the top-level entry page for most survey reports. In the past, longer reports were presented as PDFs, while more discrete data often were presented as simple stand-alone graphics. Some of the stand-alone graphics can be found as a photo album in this group.?
Pending further development of this Wiki, see this to past survey reports
