Ideally, the therma-rest=trekker is what I'd like to use but I'm worried about puncturing my sleeping pad and then I'd be sorry! : ) Plus I only use a 3/4 length therma-rest since I'm short! :

Can't really help with back support, but I use my Bear Vault 500 as a stool to sit on when there's no good rocks or tree trunks around.
