Done the lot Laptop , PC , Pi and windows Tablet with and without UEFI standard MBR through Bios. Even though there's these little nicks what a distribution and cross platform too good effort !!!!

I realize that maybe I could hook the laptop drive to my main computer and image the drive, then put it back in the laptop and see if that does it too.? Then I avoid the need for a bootable USB.

Bear in mind that bios us changing to be governed by the the operating system eg UEFI that's why the maker of HamPC has done this.

You should be able to install it on another drive, such as a SSD.? Then interrupt the boot process and get into the BIOS and manually change the first boot device to point to the device you have

The latest version of Ham PC works well with just about any WiFi adapter. The previous version of Ham PC did required that additional drivers be installed but it really was not a big issue. 73,

The reason the Wi-Fi worked on the Evolve III that you have with hand PC is because I specifically added in the Wi-Fi driver to get my own Evolve III working.

I know where you're going with us. My Evolve III Maestro laptop does have internal speakers but there is no audio under HamPC. That's because this computer is too new to have the correct driver
