The switch action is erratic. Contact cleaner has had no effect.?
I could jump the contacts and plug the radio in to a power strip,
but if there's an organ donor radio out there with a good switch,
I'd like to find it.

Does the switch still
"click" when turned to the OFF position?? If so, take a
close look at the switch solder lugs on the switch wafer.?
There should be a rivet on each solder lug that connects to
the internal switch contacts.? Ohm the rivet to rivet
connection to see if the problem is actually corrosion of
the rivets causing them to be insulated from the solder
lugs.? Soldering was earlier suggested for tube sockets that
have ground rings that are also riveted to the chassis.?
Clean and solder the rivets to the tabs as necessary.
If this was not the
problem, try spraying some penetrating oil into the switch
body and exercised the switch several times.? This also
works to eliminate a scratchy volume or tone control
resistive elements.
