Thank you for that tip, I might have missed it, now I won't. Gathering parts right now, beginning to clean it up, lots of dirt, but no corrosion, thank to it having lived its life in a dry climate. No humidity where here in the EWA desert where I live.

On the S-40B receiver I recently worked on, the person who last aligned it didn't know this, and the slug was half out of the top of the coil and that band just wouldn't track.?
