This weekend I went through the second P2000.? I noticed that this one is different than the other.? It has only TWO bleeder resistors and not multiple.? They are both factory. There must have been some changes.
I also noticed that this one does not use 4megs for the B plus meter. It uses three resistors around 3meg.? Must be a different meter movement.?
Its B plus meter was 1000 volts off.? I changed the resistors out a 2 meg and 1 meg in series. Its within 200 volts. Reads a bit high. Not a big deal.
It also had the caps changed but they did not change the screen supply cap. I replaced it with a new 10MFD.?
I also had the task of painting the transformers. They had a light coat of rust and just looked horrible.? After some cleaning, sanding and a light coat of flat black, they look fantastic.
This PS runs significantly cooler than the other.? Due to the bleeder changes.? Other than that and a speaker output cable. They are the same.
Did someone document the P2000 changes somewhere?
