HT-44 "dirty" signal

Edited

I'll try this again - no responses to previous post.? The problem is a dirty signal from the HT-44 on SSB.? I had originally suspected the problem to be in the audio chain, but scoped that out yesterday and found that when driven with a single frequency sine wave the output from the audio chain (viewed at the plate of V5, the audio modulator, was still a nice sine wave.? The output viewed at the dummy load looks like this:

The carrier frequency is at the red "M" and the rig is in LSB mode.? The input audio signal was about 5 mv with the mic gain around 4.? RF output was about 10 watts.? When listening to this mess on a receiver, I hear three distinct signals and all the junk in the background.? I've checked the voltages in the balanced modulators and nothing unusual there.? At the input to the first mixer, the signal has a shaded ghost area so seems to me that the extraneous stuff is coming from the balanced modulators, but just don't see why.? Any ideas?
