I have an HT-32B paired with an SX-115.? Also have an HT-37 paired with and SX-101A.
I don't mean to be critical but I think the pair looks better (and is possibly more ergonomic) with the XMTR on the left.? I think that's the way Halli typically displayed them in their ads.
Just my opinion on aesthetics - don't mean to impose it on anyone.

Questions
It's always great when another old rig gets back on the air.
Hopefully the younger generations will keep it going. Nothing
better than the look of tubes glowing and the smell of old
electronics. Lol
These are the ones I acquired. Fortunately they were in
fairly good condition when I got them.
I will certainly
be following your progress on the SX-101.? I
just recently purchased an SX-100 MK 1A that was
advertised as not being turned up for 18 years.
The pictures of the unit look nice, faceplate
looks very good, and so does the chassis with
minimal surface rust in some spots.? However,
the real proof is when I physically see it; due
to arrive this Thursday.? I figure you have to
start somewhere as none of these older rigs will
come in pristine condition, unless it has
already been restored. I have another rig on the
bench right now, so the SX-100 will have to wait
till I finish that one up.? But at least I can
pull it out of the box and give it a good once
over, as well as order a recap kit for it.
Thank you, Bill
and Chuck.
Have purchased the re-cap from Hayseed as well.
No doubt the SX is the heaviest radio I have
tackled yet.
Rebuilding my work bench currently for a bit
more room.
Very excited about getting the better of the two
SX back to operation.
Both are fairly clean, one has a bit cleaner
looking chassis.
Previous owner said they were working fine ten
year ago.
