Re: HP8920A, HP 11807A,E Option 001 card
I couldn't find one when I went to flash that for my Dad's 8920B but I used an?"IBM 2Mb Flash Card, part number 0934290" and successfully provided him with 11807E on that card - It might be an option

Thanks for the kind words, I can certainly try. Sometimes an exact copy of something doesn't translate well to a FDM 3d printer. Since the spring is the only unknown I may find a spring that fits well

Hi Nathan, ??? Your work is remarkable. Would you have an interest in 3D printing the handle side plastic covers?

Also, been thinking, while I have the switch apart, it's pretty simple on the inside, no circuitry at all really, While waiting for repair components, I could just reverse engineer it in cad and be

Also, been looking at the LCD conversion since the CRT has burn-in, but it is bright and works otherwise. Alas, one step at a time, and needing to be careful with funds at the moment. Spent enough on

I didn't see a HEDS or GEDS number or any numbers on it at all, I'm just replacing the Emitters in it for now and see what happens, really i can use any 2-bit quadrature encoder, doesn't have to be

Nathan it¡¯s great to see you¡¯re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I must ask if there¡¯s an HP p/n on that encoder? Should be a HEDS #### number on it. I didn¡¯t look when I had my unit

The encoder from a 8922 may be the same. It appears to be based on the 8920. Glenn

Conversely, when these HP units were designed,? rotary encoders were not as widely available as standard products.

Oh the carnage, but seriously, it's actually a simple device on the inside, surprising. Two upper Emitters and Receivers for the out of phase pulses to tell the machine which direction, which is fed

I'd be interested in a spare in case I fail, but, I did manage to desolder it from the button panel, and disassemble it. Found the IR LEDs are burnt out (reading open), the receivers still work
