Re: 5086-7337 *Yig Oscillator issue*
Hi Ruben I thought I asked this question but apparently not on looking at the history , sorry if I am going over old ground You have made the unit out of 2 units and no output on the Aux socket on the

Re: 5086-7337 *Yig Oscillator issue*
Sorry I haven¡¯t looked at the manual but the Aux output on the rear of the plugin should be the raw Yig output before it goes to the Multiplier / Yig filter As I often use this output to phase lock

Ruben - Confirmation should not be too difficult. Confirm: 1) The YIG main coil CURRENT is consistent with the frequency - somewhere in the service literature there will be a specification of ma/GHz

I got it I will measure again using the first harmonic band. Will post here the exact results. I am reluctant to think that the oscillator is dead, I hope that there is more ways to check it. The

Re: Agilent E3610A Operator Faux Pas or Production Change
Hello, these can be made quite cheaply, and need some TLC before they can be used. I use the one described at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSza2jD1DoM. Tam With best regards Tam HANNA Enjoy

Re: Agilent E3610A Operator Faux Pas or Production Change
Transport cost > value of item, likely. I have an E3611A, and I can confirm that mine is stuck to 115 V. I run it off a transformer. Of course I have a transformer (*). I can¡¯t quite imagine having

Re: Agilent E3610A Operator Faux Pas or Production Change
Yes, finding or making an external transformer rig to make the 230V should be quite easy, especially considering that this is a pretty small (30W) supply. There's another option though, which is to

Actually from 2.3 to 7 gig, aprox. In the general block diagram, there is a detail of those figures per band.

Re: 5086-7337 *Yig Oscillator issue*
Of course not My mistake, those voltage values are present during mainframe command sweeps, in this case, from 10 meg to 20 gig. YO supose to do four sweeps at different freq spans to cover all bands.

Following the service manual: - Voltage across R1 is changing both in auto and manual sweeps, between 14 and 24 volts, from 10 meg to 20 gig, respectively. - Waveforms described in the figures are

May not an option for HP gear which tends to be 'compactly' designed, but I have a whole bunch of 115VAC-only test gear from the likes of Eico which I've modified to run on the UK 240VAC supply by
