Re: 1345A display as used in HP 8756A SNA
I have a 1345a manual, but am away from my home until Nov. 17th. I
vaguely remember that there is a trace rotation potentiometer on the
rear panel of the display unit, but I could be mistaken. I'll

Re: 1345A display as used in HP 8756A SNA
I dont have a manual for the 1345 just for the 1349 which is the big brother, A1R160 aligns the trace (rotates) , it is located on the big board that also has the video DACs on there

Re: 141T zebra strip repair
Jack,
I did it several times in the past. Only one wire (the one most separated from the others) carries about 6kV and must be replaced; remaining wires have voltages in the hundreds of V.

141T zebra strip repair
The strip that carries the high voltage to the CRT in my HP 141T has
delaminated, and is arcing to the adjacent CRT shield. On a web page,

Re: 8657A generator RF ON/OFF question
Hi Chris,
I have two of the 8657A's and they both power up with the RF enabled
(if set that way before power off). Something is wrong with yours. I
will try and take a look at the service manual

1345A display as used in HP 8756A SNA
Dear all,
I recently acquired a HP 8756A scalar network analyzer. Now I'm in the
process of debugging and learning how to work with it. It seems the
display is tilted somewhat as if the crt has been

8657A generator RF ON/OFF question
Hi,
I just bought an 8657A generator and I noticed something odd compared
with other generators that I have used.
When the power is initially turned on, the unit remembers the last

Re: 16530A/16531A self test
One, and it's in there already, connecting the two boards. I suspect
that's the internal trigger and acquisition signals from the sweep to
the scope board.
Unless I missed one, there are no jumpers

Re: 16530A/16531A self test
I would think this should not happen. Maybe if it had something to do with the two boards not being connected up correctly. Are there any interconnecting cables between the boards? I don't know

16530A/16531A self test
Is there ever a reason for the 16530A/16531A board test to fail a self
test in the acquisition memory?
I have a "new" board set, which fails self test thusly. I'm seeing a
glitch in a fast sine wave

In the time everyone (myself included) have spent on this thread, the gears could
easily have been measured and specified.

the division he worked in either picked gears from another
HP instrument, or had them speced, and they were contracted
