Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
dont scrap it they were designed to logrithmicly compress a signal before going into a chart recorder if you dont like it maybe i can buy it from you. are you in the usa??

Foot Assy for (Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter)
These had a "front bail/foot" type front #1490-0032 and the rear foot was #5060-0728 built in the late 60's and early 70's ...probably common to other gear of that era Dave & Lynn Henderson ArtekMedia

Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
OK, these now look like project boxes to me, and very nice ones too, as they would appear to have spent their life in a rack unit, so aren't bashed around! I would rather like some feet for them (they

Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
The 7562A has a crest factor of 5:1, which is between the 10:1 you can get with a thermal converter and the 3:1 you could get with the early analog multipliers. I don't know which it is. Dave Wise

Thanks Dave, I also found a write up about it in the October 1968 HP Journal. I suspect that the oven on the A5 board is for one (or both) arms of the thermocouple used for the RMS conversion. I've
