Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter

Thanks Dave,

I also found a write up about it in the October 1968 HP Journal. I suspect
that the oven on the A5 board is for one (or both) arms of the thermocouple
used for the RMS conversion. I've had one of them on for about 1 hour, and
the Zero set has moved around a *lot* as it warmed up, but the oven doesn't
appear appreciably warm to touch ??? but the PSU - now that DOES run pretty
darn warm!

Accuracy +/- 0.5dB in AC mode (over most of the range 0.5Hz - 100kHz), +/-
0.25dB in DC mode

You're right they will make very nice project boxes :-)

Dave

All discreet transistors and a few IC's ...Nice little power supply ...must
be highly accurate as it has a "heater" (A5 Board) recommends 20-30 minute
warm up. Converts AC/DC -IN to LOG out 80dB dynamic range, auxiliary scope
monitor . Hook two of them in series get LOG-LOG out

I'll send you a private email with scan of the description page.

Nice case for a project box

Pending anyone turning up a manual for these, what are these good for
and for that matter are they worth anything?

On another tack - are there any interesting things inside them (there
looks to be an ovenised "something" in there)?

Cheers
