Re: Step attenuator repair stuff uploaded in files section
I just tried to find that file also, but it doesn't seem to be there. Lothar, is there any chance to re-post it? This would be useful, and I must admit that I had missed the original post. I notice

Darnit - was about to say what a great idea and then - darnit, yes perhaps that would introduce a particulate metal issue... I was thinking a dremel to 'cut' open the epoxied seam perhaps? Mike

Foot Assy for (Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter)
These had a "front bail/foot" type front #1490-0032 and the rear foot was #5060-0728 built in the late 60's and early 70's ...probably common to other gear of that era Dave & Lynn Henderson ArtekMedia

Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
OK, these now look like project boxes to me, and very nice ones too, as they would appear to have spent their life in a rack unit, so aren't bashed around! I would rather like some feet for them (they

Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
Thanks Dave, I also found a write up about it in the October 1968 HP Journal. I suspect that the oven on the A5 board is for one (or both) arms of the thermocouple used for the RMS conversion. I've

The heater is almost certainly for the log element in the FB loop. The temp. stability is needed to stabilize the thing. -John ===============

Re: 7562A Log Voltmeter/Converter
All discreet transistors and a few IC's ...Nice little power supply ...must be highly accurate as it has a "heater" (A5 Board) recommends 20-30 minute warm up. Converts AC/DC -IN to LOG out 80dB
