Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
Hi Paul, I read the manuals for both H72 and H75 and both are using the same connector assembly 00478-62004 and also C1 and C2 caps are 0.1uF. So I would say the only difference is the calibration. As

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
It cannot be $3k since a standard diode based sensor can reach 5-6k. I attached the screenshot with the price from Keysight website.

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
I saw that in the old documents H76 was considered the Lab Standard but today, Keysight is showing both H76 and H83 as Lab Standards. Yes, the H76 and H83 should be normally sent to NIST or PTB or

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
FYI, I have been collecting the H-option 478As for quite a while and have a good number of them. The VSWR on all of them is within spec. You can contact me if you're interested. Richard Parrish

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
I checked my standard 478A and it shows CF 97.5% at 50MHz. H versions maybe they have 99% from factory? I doubt that they will keep the CF 99.0% forever at 50MHz. I saw the document saying you can

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
Are these prices correct ?? As in $15,000 just for the sensor I thought a 478A might be $2,000 and option H75 would be $3,500 Paul

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
hi the sensor without a cal table is a 478A? OPT? H72? so i have to check it against a calibrated H series sensor I can only assume the H76 is calibrated against a primary stranded and the rest are

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
I would say that H73, H75 and H76 are the same at 50MHz since all 3 have SWR 1.05 at 50MHz. I am not sure why the H76 is considered the "Lab Standard". Do you have a VNA where you can check the S11

Re: 1 mw - 0dbm lab calibration
The bolometers ( cared units) maintains his cal factor for several years its very stable there are a lot of papers about it. Send to calibration would be more expensive than the sensor price¡
