Re: Free to good home, HP 5423A system + manuals and spares
I spoke to a friend about this; he'll be driving through your part of the country soon. He expressed a willingness to pick it up. I've forwarded this to him to see if he can arrange it. -Dave -- Dave

2nd call... so far a couple bites but no takers. It would be a shame to have to scrap and recycle this system.

Re: HP 141T Power Supply Help Needed
Bill, The big question is what resistance do you measure at the pins of the A2 board that have the white / Violet wires going to them with the wires removed. At this point you should read >1K Ohm at

Re: Keysight customer support policy
As long as we're on this topic, what are some battery brands that peeps here would swear by? I used to stick to Duracells, but you're confirming what I've also seen - a ton load of leakages. I'm tired

Re: HP 141T Power Supply Help Needed
At about 1.30am, the fan slid out enough to access the mosfet pins. A little tweaking and in next power up I see way more sane voltages on the transistors. 23.5v is gone. 1.5v to the driver base etc.

Re: Keysight customer support policy
I have had bad results as far as leakage with Duracells, but Ray O Vac has been far worse. Once they are 2 or 3 years old, there is a serious risk of them leaking in the package. Mallory Duracells

Same here; Duracells are "remove on sight" around here. I swore by them all my life, until they started destroying things. But that's ok, because...."it's just business". No. It's greedy scumbag
