Regarding reliability of oil filled capacitors, a while back a friend had the main filter capacitor of an HP410B fail.? It exploded.? It was an oil filled bathtub capacitor, maybe 4 microfarads.?

Robin, Did you try the Tracking Adjust (in the amplitude menu, I think)?? You should be able to get a fairly smooth manual peaking response if the YTF current drive is working correctly. --John
