I have not used this device, but I noticed in the eBay listing that it does not support SRQ's at this time. If your application depends upon service requests, then this will not work for you.

Seems a bit round about in its implementation to use an FTDI FT232RL USB-Serial chip to internally connect to a PIC18F4520 which interfaces to the GPIB bus. I suppose that might simplify the driver

The list owner is Tom Leedy, and as far as I know, he does not moderate the list. I suppose he may have had to put a couple of folks on a moderate list, but that would have had to have been the result
