I've replaced the fuse in mine twice in about 6 years. I guess I should go back and check all of the power supplies. Each time I was worried that it had bit the big one but a simple replacement cured

Indeed, they do fail for a reason. Sometimes that reason is fatigue. The 141T is not a young instrument. I'd starting worrying about reworking the power supply reference after the second fuse blows.
