The input switch U38 (spdt GaAs) is available. Do a google search for it. MGS-71018 . I have seen these get lossy at 10 to 20 dB. That would be the first thing I would try. This should work though it

Aha, now I know better. I (think) I was talking from computer and instrument, which makes it HP-IL, and not HP-HIL. I remember this going from either logic analyzer to computer (never quite had one)
