A coworker told me that when he turned on his HP 54542C, it showed an error. It told him to throw the programming switch to the "unprotected" postion, and restart. He did, and it booted up fine. It didn't say to put it back, but he did, and it is still working fine.
Does anyone know what this means? Surely something is wrong....
